The Friendly Bookshop

The 'Friendly Bookshop' is well-stocked and offers a wide selection of Adult and Children's Fiction, Talking Books, and Books relating to Local History and Literature. We also have a wide selection of Jigsaws.
Many thanks for all the generous ongoing donations of thousands of books of all kinds to the 'Friendly Bookshop'. This Service is both popular and an important source of overall income because, as a Registered Charity, we rely totally on our Volunteers, Donations, and Fundraising.

We welcome Books Donations for each book, and for gift sets. These donations are much appreciated and are an important source of support for our Library

Carole Kemp of the library explains: “All of the books are in author order for everyone to find easily. There are plenty to choose from; fiction, cookery, gardening, biographies and many more. Most authors seem to have a book in there of one sort or another so hopefully we will cater for all and of course, there are plenty of children’s books from birth to teenagers as well.”
